Hope in the Face of Fear

We are a people of hope.

This is true even as the church, like our world, is in an anxious moment—preoccupied with decline, riddled with distrust, and frequently afraid. For three decades, the Covenant Network of Presbyterians has worked for the full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people because a church that celebrates the gifts and dignity of all is a stronger, more authentic church. Covenant Conference 2027 honors that history and gathers Presbyterians who love the church and are ready to live into a vibrant future.

This conference invites us to consider what sort of church the Spirit is calling us to be and what we have to offer that is compellingly prophetic and faithfully Reformed. Lifting up voices long silenced, we will take the prophet Habakkuk at his word that even when the fig tree does not blossom, there is reason yet to rejoice.
