Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Trinity Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg, VA is expanding our ministry team. We are an inclusive and progressive congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), a More Light Congregation, seeking to share God's expansive love. We are looking for the right fit, and hope to bring on someone who can envision ministering alongside us into the future. A core component of this position will be Pastoral Care for all ages and stages. We’re excited to learn about your passions for ministry, and how they might shape the contours of this position. While an ordained Presbyterian clergy would be ideal, we have recently employed an Episcopalian priest and Mennonite elder, and they fit right in. Our Pastor and Administrator are pretty great to work with. The specific job description will be developed in partnership and conversation with our new staff. The position has been part-time (20-25 hours a week), but we are open to negotiating time and benefits to make this a sustainable position for a top candidate. Salary and benefits will be at competitive levels for our presbytery. 

Trinity is an exciting place to be in ministry. We are active in wide variety of local and global ministries that you can read about on our website. Our active “Backpack Program” provides meals to kids at two local schools, our Clothes Closet assets hundreds in our community and through, Valley Interfaith Action we organize with the faith community to make Harrisonburg a better place to live. We are involved in immigrant ministry and actively support those in our community living under threat. In addition, our video cast of Sunday worship has brought us new participants in India and we have developed a close relationship with a children’s ministry there as a result.
