Meet the 2026 Co-Moderators: Rev. Julia Watkins of Davidson, N.C. Joins Rev. TJ Remaley of Boise, Idaho
The Rev. Julia Watkins
CNP is proud to announce the election of the Rev. Julia Watkins as a new Co-Moderator of its Board of Directors. She joins the Rev. TJ Remaley, who continues in his role as Co-Moderator begun in 2025.
Julia Watkins (she/her) serves as College Chaplain and Director of Religious & Spiritual Life at Davidson College, her alma mater, where she returned in August 2023. She holds a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science from Davidson College. Prior to her current role, she served as a pastor with PC(USA) congregations in Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Greenville, S.C., focusing on local justice initiatives and community building. Watkins has served for several years on CNP's Board of Directors, where she has been instrumental in organizing the Covenant Fellows program and mentoring young leaders in the PC(USA).
The Rev. TJ Remaley
TJ Remaley (he/him) serves as pastor of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Boise, Idaho. A native of Fairfield, Pa., he has served congregations across the country, from South Carolina to Florida to the Pacific Northwest. As a bisexual pastor, TJ brings a deep commitment to creating spaces where all people are seen, safe, and celebrated. He lives in Boise with his spouse Megan, their child Layton, and two cats, Amos and Fiyero.
CNP is grateful for Julia's expanded leadership and for TJ's continued service. Together, the co-moderators will lead the board in setting direction, overseeing programming, and collaborating with staff toward fulfillment of CNP's mission of strengthening the church by deepening its welcome and affirmation of LGBTQIA+ people.
