Liturgy for the Angry

The Rev. Laura Viau has designed a contemplative worship service that invites congregations to express righteous anger over injustice while centering communal lament and Matthew 25’s call to justice. The service offers interactive elements such as noisemakers and movement, writing and sharing concerns, carrying one another's burdens with rocks and fabric and committing to faithful witness. The attatched materials include a flow outline, setup instructions, full script and sample bulletin. Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church first offered this service on Jan. 29, 2026.
